Monika is one hell of a DJ. I have never heard her live, but I've listened closely to some of her sets and her mixing is TIGHT. Unfortunately, she's moving more towards the production side of things and doing less DJing, which means unless I go to Germany sometime soon I probably won't get to hear her at her best. (in her hometown)
I have bought pretty much every release off of her label (TerminalM) that I can find - it's all driving techno with some serious funk in it. Her latest release surprised me - very tech-trancey. She played a measley 2 hour set at Stereo in Mtl last year which I would have loved to have gone to, but I can't justify a Mtl road trip for two hours of music. :(
She also used to be a model, but decided to DJ instead.
Monika gets two big thumbs up from me....one of my faves, for sure. :) |

| She's nice... "Highway number 4" is great... one of those tracks that get better as it progresses. "Andromeda 13" is cool too... different from alot of stuff out there. |

Whaaaat? Her mixing is much much more on spot than Barbara's. Track selection has a bit more of a German influence, but largely the same style.
I would say Barbara's technical skills are not quite as developed, but she is still #1 in my books. She has great energy. |

have to agree with you..monkia is much better mixer than barbara. Just DL these two sets and you will see how good she is in her track selection and mixing skills
monika kruse - Cocoon Club @ Hafentunnel
monika kruse - Live @ WIRE
Monika style takes up after Dj Rush(GOD) and liebing so she is GoooD
Both Monkia and Gayle San(another great female techno dj) are better mixers than Barbara....
Techno Scene is slowly getting bigger around the world and me likes
