Hello,
I figured at least one person would be extremely interested in this.
www.ps2reality.net has developed The PS2Reality Media Player. It plays DivX movies and MP3s (i'm unsure about xvid). The MP3 option is hidden (to access it at the main menu hit: L1, L2, R2, R1).

I've figured out a way to do this without a mod chip (but it does void you warrentee). A flip-top case & Swap magic boot discs...

Go to: Console-Parts to buy the fliptops and... well... the games that people stole from you/got broken/etc. aka backups.
I did quite a lot of research and found that this site has the lowest price (shipping included). They also have really good service... if you're confused about anything just write the [email protected] an email.
or if you don't want to void your warrentee, you can do this crazy thing called cog swapping. But I've read that this is obviously harmful to your machine.

| i have a magic 3.1 soldered on my ps2. boots perfectly! the ps2reality player works good too. except, i noticed, its not quite perfected yet. it ran a little slow. but it does work... btw, i have just under 200... |

pnuemo: what do you mean by runs slowly? Do you mean, the divx is out of sync or it's slow and choppy... or did you mean it's load time? What's the deal?
does PS2RMP make it easy to swap discs in multiple disc movies? Also, have you tried the mp3 thing yet?
i can't wait for my fliptop case to come.

well, for one, the load time is a little long, but i can deal with that. that's not the issue. when the movie starts playing, it seems as if it's playing at a few frames slower than what it should be. 99% of my movies are 23.975 fps from ntsc source. i dont know exactly how to explain unleess you saw it. but, i only had time to check the one movie. i havent checked any of the other ones yet.
i need to get that mothering xbox!! modded xbox owns. i saw that list of everything you can do with a modded xbox and that software. thats ing ridiculous. all-in-one machine for your asses!! i'll be getting one VERY soon. i'll let you know all how SWEET it is! |
