| So I get a call from the Dorchester yesterday and apparently they somehow overbooked their hotel by 40 rooms. I booked back in January and even called the hotel itself about a month ago to confirm my and my friends rooms. They said everything was good to go and then they call a week before we get there and tell us we don't have a room. They offered rooms at the Traymore on 24th (which is $129/night) or the Days Inn on 42nd (cheap but that location). I would accept the Traymore if they compensated the price difference between the price we agreed to pay with them (which would be about $50/night) but they made it sound like they weren't gonna do that. What do you guys suggest as a response to this situation? I'm about to get rowdy with these people. |
