I know this isn't the best place to talk about it, but we all know how much similarity there is between trance and classical music. What are your favorite classical music pieces, and what would you recommend?
I'll start off by suggesting ,
Ravel - Bolero --- very nice relaxing piece. Absolutely amazing :)

Indeed... I get the same euphoric feeling that I get from Trance as I do with Classical...
;)
Bach - The Goldberg Variations
Mozart - Piano Concerto no.25 C-major
Beethoven - ALL of he's piano Sonatas
Brahms - 3rd and 4th Symphony
Rachmaninoff - 2nd Piano Concerto
Elgar - Cello Concerto
Those are more of the "mainstream" pieces that I would recommend :) |

If you like classical music, then I suggest you BUY the Bladerunner movie soundtrack, it's done by Vangelis, and it is in my humble opinion, one of the best CD's I have EVER heard, and it is better then 99.9% of all trance compilations out there!!!
Also get stuff by Craig Armstrong!! He's a talented mofo! |

Oh man, Classical is amazing.
Some of my favourites:
Sibelius - Finlandia
Mozart - Requiem, any symphony or piano piece
Beethoven - Symphonies 3, 6, 8 and 9 I absolutely love
Bach - Goldburg Variations, Brandenburg Concertos
Liszt - Liebestraum, Hungarian Rhapsody #2
Chopin - Any Nocturne <---- they are so atmospheric(if you've heard them then you know what I mean);)
Rachmaninoff - ANYTHING!!!
I could go on and on and on and on... |

for sure the most beautiful piece of music ever :)
haha chopin Impromptu. the piano sheets for that one is insane. :stongue: it cracks me up how mind boggling that is. but then again ive only self taught myself how to fiddle w/ the piano so, that maybe why its seems so complicated. :p

Oh man, this could be an enormously long list... here's a few off the top of my head
Brahms - Hungarian Dances (esp. #1,2,4,5)- I love the energy in these
Strauss - Almost any waltz - it's impossible not to be happy listening to these
Elgar - Enigma Var. #9 - Nimrod - One of the most beautiful pieces ever made
Grieg - Morning from Peer Gynt - Ditto
Mozart - Sym. 40 Molto Allegro - Well known piece, I love it
Saint-Saens: Danse Macabre, Bacchanale from Samson & delilah
Rodgrigo - Espanoleta from Fantasia Para Un Gentilhombre
Faure - Cantique de Jean Racine - brings tears to my eyes
Schubert - Symph 8 Unfinished - Allegro
Handel - Music for the Royal Fireworks
