I couldnt agree more Mos... I wore ear plugs at 1 party and it just wasnt the same, so I took them out and tossed em! I need the FULL effect of the music no matter if I go deaf or not!

| Gotta agree, Viva's security is outstanding...at system is just as good though. Most other clubs don't even come close to either of those. |

Security was good. There wasn't as much as before from what i remember. Overall it was pretty good in that aspect, there was quite a bit of drug use, you could really tell with the older people at about 6:30 wondering around like they were dead. lol.
They even let me in with CD's which was nice.

Overall, Viva's security is fine. I like System's a bit more, somply cuz there's more consistency there. At Viva, rules seem to change on a weekly basis over what u can or can't bring in. Also, walked up to the door last nite, not a soul was in line, the chain was off by the entrance (line bypass area), so we went to that opening instead. Door guy sees us walking up, puts the chain up, and tells us to walk back around the barriers. I was like: "Excuse me?!?!" Luckily, Ari was there to tell him otherwise, but I just laughed in his face- "That was really sad.... really sad. No one is in line, & u want to make us walk all the way around? Pathetic!" Boo on him. Bouncers on power trips get 2 thumbs down from me.
A funny thing happened w/another bouncer last nite. Some bouncers have gotten to know me a little over time, & this 1 guy Mike (in passing) asked me "U don't live downtown do u? And you do photography?" (yes to both) Well, turns out, he's been over my place before (over a yr ago) when he dropped a mutual acquaintance off here one day, came in & hung out for a bit. LOL! Small world! |

lol, C'mon Nat. Yes the rules ther enever change (but then again I never go to viva that often so I dunno). But systems Better security? Maybe in the fact that I have never had a problem there with my Camera yes. But. One of the Consistant Rules must be "Let the drug dealers do their ". lol. Actually the last time I Went to systems I had 3, that's Right, 3 different dealers asking me if I wanted anything. time2burn made a cool Joke out of it saying "Maybe they keep asking you cause they know u are the E*Master". I cracked up. Read my Sig about that.

Hey Mosaic, where were you i wanted to meet you this time.
As far as the security it was really good becaues there were people just sitting on the floor against the DJ booth which pissed me off SOO Much because i wanted to dance near the booth but you can't really dance and not kick one in the face :p
so a security guard came and got them all to get up, which made them leave of course. I thanked him and he said "Yea man, no prob". I beleive he came back and checked but i was enjoying his set too much ;) |

| Yeah for real, the security at Viva are great ppl !!! I was at SoundClash 4 and by-passed a huge line by asking the security to let through, b/c I knew the staff of Empire. Had no problems :) |

I have to disagree with you there ... I've been promoting DeepGroove at System for all most 2 yrs now, the security are a bunch of ******s and have no respect for ppl that are there every week. I don't get them at all, they are nice inside the clubb ... but when your line ... they are such s.
During the line outside
1) I still get searched
2) they always ask me for my ID
3) they ask me who's list I'm on
4) they give out sooo much attitude to ppl
5) they give DeepGroove a hard time when they escort me in
6) none breath nights, they ask me how I got on the list
7) I've seen many of them causing trouble for the heck of it.
Yeah ... I don't get those guys at all, pure powertripps. |
