Clavia News

4 analog Audio inputs including an XLR mic input with built-in amplifier give you plenty of room for inserting external signals and patch them! The crystal clear 24-bit, 96 kHz A/D and D/A converters on the G2 ensure highest possible audio quality!

Whether you want to play traditional synth patches or control step sequencers in real-time or make cool sounds with delays, reverb and audio processing, the G2 offers plenty of knobs and controllers to tweak! Talk about sequencing - tweaking a step sequencer will be a lot of fun and extremely easy thanks to the real-time editing controls and the visual feedback from the LCD’s. The fantastic Morph capabilities on the G2 offer enormous sonic variations. The G2's 8 Morph Groups per patch let you control sets of parameters from single internal control sources - and via MIDI.

It comes without the hardware user interface, pedal and mic inputs. Connect the Nord Modular G2 Engine via the USB port to the PC and do all your editing from from the the intuitive and elegant PC Patch Editor. The perfect studio tool!

The new Modular G2 Patch Editor is a joy to work with. The logical architecture and great visual overview, including user-defined coloring of modules and color-coded module groups, make it easy to patch and "lay out" your sounds. Thanks to the real-time USB communication, the G2 immediately responds to your patching and follows your moves. Most of the modules are self-optimizing, meaning that they adapt their bandwidth to the patched signals. This opens up for big patches and greater polyphony. The flexible modules also make it easy to alter functionality without needing to replace modules. But if you want to replace modules, we made that very easy too: replace the module and the cables will "jump" to the corresponding connections on the new module! The Modular G2 Patch Editor comes with more than a hundred great modules ready to be patched! Your imagination is definitely only the beginning!

The Nord Modular G2 synthesizers will be shown for the first time at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt, March 5-9, in Hall 5.0 Booth B10. Release of the G2 is planned for June 2003. The price for the keyboard version will be approximately USD/Euro 2.199.- and for the Engine USD/Euro 999.-. We will be back shortly with more detailed information. Stay

Yes, actually, in the future I plan to look into getting a modular, as I think that things like that and Kyma are the future of sound, "taking us to sounds we've never been before", but I think if I bought one I would be spending too much time focusing on all the modulation and wouldn't be able to hone my other skills (I'm quite new to producing).:)

I'm trying to decide what synth i wanna buy....err save for...the violen/cello sounds on the nord lead 3 are ing amazing.......but this thing looks perty ing sick, soo does the waldorf q, the access virus c, GOD DAMNT SOOO MANY ING CHOICES......
Etherium
I have a Virus B. It is amazing. Not near the sonic salad as a modular, not smooth like a Supernova, but it can be so many things so well, and for trance, it is hard to do better, especially for the money ($800 ebay).

By the way, kudos for your giving public respect to Mr. Rogers. He was a model of humanity and kindness.

Access Virus C - the ultimate...

I have Triton Studio, Supernova II, Access virus A and virus KC, plus JD800, XP60, buncha VST synths and Virus KC (or simiply - c) just nukes it all to hell. . I haven't touched my SuperNova since I got virus C... it is just .... creamy and dreamy... I can spend days modulating a single note and not get bored with it. Supernova gets a bit cold after while.... Virus C is da ...

check it.
