Newcastle boss Sir Bobby Robson is reportedly set to make a double swoop on Blackburn in the summer to land David Dunn and Lucas Neill.
Sunday newspaper reports claim that Robson will make an £8m approach for Dunn and Neill to bolster his squad at St James' Park.
The former England boss has been a long-term admirer of Dunn, who currently has something of a strained relationship with Rovers boss Graeme Souness after the pair's well publicised fall-out earlier this season.
The England midfielder was placed on the transfer list but has been in good form of late, scoring in Rovers' last two wins over Chelsea and Manchester City.
Dunn has allegedly told friends that he would jump at the chance of a move to Newcastle to boost his England prospects.
Meanwhile, Neill is also a reported target for the Magpies, who look certain to be playing Champions League football once again next term. |
