| hi im sagy from israel, appearently im flying to NY @ the end of the yr, ill be glad to meet some of u, tho i dont know anyone yet :) and maybe do a free gig for u all :) from my last visit there i understood there are not much clubs there, is that true?!? i met a girl there and she said that the nearest club is 5 hours away... anyway, can someone fill me up with details? ill appreciate :) |

I don't live in nyc, not just yet ;) but let me assure you there's clubs in the city "many" of them.
I'll let the others fill you in , but just to name a few

its my second time there, my first was two yrs ago, i will be on an organized trip, but families around there will host us, when ill have the specific plan ill write it down here...
are there any chances of getting a one night gig there? :) i just wanna experience at other countries :p anyway i also wanna meet people, i can name a few places we'll be at:
rochester, nyc (i think manhatan im not sure...) and so on...
so.... fill me up :) |

rochester is very far from manhattan. you can probably get a gig her but more likely at a lounge than a big club. i can't give you any links though as to who you should contact. |

yeah rochester is far from the city. like someone said before you could probally get a lounge gig or whatnot. i see a few people from the boards have done a few gigs at lounges, but if you are serious i would get your exact dates when you will be in the city. you said something about the end of the year being here. from what i remember december is pretty busy with parties and such, so start inquiring now.
i went to a cool lounge in the bowery called 'coz' i saw a friend of mine dj. it was nice i liked it very much. just a name for you. but there are TONS of clubs and lounges here...so start looking :D |

| im sorry, my fault, the trip is in june... and after the orginized trip will end ill probably stay another two weeks or so in rochester or something... |

Rochester is 5 hours away from NYC.. I haven't been there in a couple of years but back then it had NO club scene at all.. It basically sucked ass :p You're better off doing something in NYC, or even Long Island or New Jersey.. Upstate New York blows big hairy *******!!!!!
