Mp3 Release Groups?!
View this Thread in Original format

Hello all,

I've been wondering this for some time now, and I've heard lots about them recently and have a few questions...

This is what I think I know (please correct me if I'm wrong)

The Mp3 Release Groups get the latest and newest tunes and rip them into mp3 format then distribute them in the irc channels. Channels I know of are #bmi , #twcmp3 , #mp3united (can't remember any more now).

- So where do they actually get the music from before almost anyone else has it??

- How many groups are there? Is there a list of them??

- When do they actually release new tunes? (Whenever I'm ever in a channel no-one is saying anything!)

- Is this why some sets and mp3s have 'twc' or 'bmi' (or whatever) at the end of the file name?

Please help me understand all this, if you can, cheers

they don't necessarily get their tunes before everyone else does.. you could get the tunes they put out at the same time they do, but they just happen to find them and rip them and put them out.

here are some more of them:
SND, OTL, WaX, 2DB, BMI, GTA, MOD, gEm, BPM, NmE, POW, NBD, IPZ, UTE, TCLUB

and yep, thats why some of the tunes have -=SND=-
at the end of them or something..
but yea =p
