Hi everybody !

list all good Direct X plugins ( Reverb, Chorus, Delay...every fx )
which are high quality sound with very few cpu usage...
would be cool to know because I am thinking of buying an old Logic Version in order to export my Reason tracks to it and use good fx...
( or Rewire perhaps, depends on CPU usage )

Thanks !

There's some free Vst effects here: http://members.lycos.co.uk/abyssplugs/index.html

Can you explain exactly what you think is wrong with the Reason effects? And please don't just say "errr... they're low quality?" - what I'm getting at is why you think you need "better quality" effects.

How much money you got to spend?

I got few money to spend, about 30 Euro enough for an old Logic Version ( 4.0 ),

Reason FX: Also I have Reason now for more than a year, I am not able to get good sounding of compressor and chorus / flanger fx, I also want to try another phaser.
I already saw Logic years ago in a studio and I liked the fx.

reason fx are awful sounding and there are all parameters to tweak them with......the compressors suck ass

the native effects in logic 5.2 are ing awesome...i dont need any 3rd party plug ins. theres also banks on banks of presets for the effects that you can toggle with keyboard shortcuts....saves loads of time. you find something like you want then tweak it to suit

dont go for a logic version lower than 5 tho cos youll be missing out on loads of new stuff

ie>>various plugins and instruments / vst track automation on arrange / the es2 etc

Waves has some of the best reverb plug-ins....IMHO. TrueVerb is very transparent. You can buy it separately. Sonic Timeworks 4080L is another good reverb. For delay, it would be hard to beat the PSP42 or the new one, they basically come very close to duplicating the venerable Lexicon delays. If not those, then the Waves 2-tap or 6-tap would be a good alternative.

If you decide to go hardware, go for Eventide or Lexicon or TC Electronics.

If you want an all in one package, you might look at Hyperprism. It's kinda of like an effects rack that has good quality phasers etc.

i looked at some of the links and most of them timed out. i want some serious effects. lets talk about the best effects out there not just the freeware. lets say i'm not worried about money (although this might imply hardware, i still want to keep it soft) what should i buy to cover these general effects...

32-Band EQ
Reverb
Delay
Flanger
Phaser
Ring Modulator
Vocoder
Chorus
Multi-Band Filter
Compressor
Limiter

anything that any producer needs that i might have left out. i want stuff that not only produces great sounds but also the greatest amount of control. so...anybody..
