A bizarre question (pg. 2)

let see I was using FLP...and using the soundfont player(which is crap) the changed to BS-1 I was using I think a XXL Pad or XXX Club Edition 3 Pad. It said dance pad. I tried using various ones acccording to the pattern and it just sounded so out of tune. I heard cats in heat that sounded better. But the again it could also be that I might not have might theory not quite up to par. Well regardless even as a single chord without progression it was BAD!

But I found one that it's not bad but the overtone make it sound like I was making a horror backgorund when I was using i-iv-i-v. The pad is from XXL Pads - Atmo-PD21.

I was testing it out so I could generate the same effect that I heard but it seems that it was ME. Because they all sounded like they should even if the sound was a bit weak. I'm still learning. Funny they taught music in school but never showed you notes just word to sing. It should have been called "Do what I tell you!"

Sorry it didn't take the mp3.
It's in Cm - i-iv-i-v. very plain. Atmo-PD21 from XXL Pads

It looks like it's not taking...107kb file

This sounds: http://hem.passagen.se/park3r/ATMO-PD_21.wav <-- save as target.

There's awsome pads on the XXL Pads cd but since all pads are already playing chords u can't use em like u want too.
So u can't really play chords with a pad thats already playing a chord.
robstar
Oh and the pads on that cd is not always in the C key. Some are in A,D or F.
Havok1200
Thanks that's the answer that I was searching for...
Oh well I guess it's a hunting game.
As far as the key goes I know it can be any but it sucks to be creative and say I can't use that pad unless I transpose it to another key. And since I'm not musically trained it'll be a bitch in determining what key the pad is in unles I got the information in front of me. Creativity KILLER!!!
robstar
Yeah it is.
It can get very frustrating at times with these samples.
Cuz some of em sounds really really good but u can't use em cuz of the chord thing I was talking about. :/

U can say that again! :D
I started on this tune and I used a pad kinda like stab , it sounded great(!) until I transponded the bassline a few notes.
So I had to remove the pad and I never manange to finish that tune. :/

U know what, just load up a sample u know is in C, open the piano roll and put a note on c.
Load the pad u want to use and do the same thing.
If it doesn't sound good just adjust the key on the sampler:

It's dead easy! =)

Ps: Maybe u already knew that, if u did I apologies. ;P

Now that that was answered I have a question along the same lines being "CHORDS". On certain sample CDs I've seen the folder for chords come up. How the hell do you use this? Especially like the pad...how the hell do you use it? The chord progressions change into a least different "types" along the written path. Being Major to minor or adding a seventh(etc.) Has any one gotten anyuse out of a sample CD? It just seems that they're best for either hits or loops and not for constructing your own melody. I'm justrying to make something with as little effort as possible, because programming a synth is another lesson to learn in itself. Eventually the time will come but right now is not the time.

Don't try to make something with as little effort as possible. It's bound to SUCK!

Jesus Christ where the hell have you been living under a friggin rock? Bound to suck! What the hell is the name of the song that blatantly rips off the dance version to Enimem's track? Which is a cover from Buffalo Girls. All it does is take a midi loop and play it on different ent instruments for a few bars and the drum track barely changes. And they're getting radio airplay with heavy rotation. That is not creative especially the lil drops and samples that are being used. There are other song that were made with a drum loop that goes thru many progressions and changes with just an edited record loop being placed in the background. Some of the were Hot because of creative editing but you knew what song was being played in the background. I could make a good song with little effort because I'm a DJ and sneaking in lil drops from here and there and throwing in tease and drop the bass to let the drum ride. I can make some HOT BUMPIN' tracks with ease that won't suck because I know how to control the crowds energy. So you can sit there trying to be the Mozart of the electronic world but you will be forgotten in a year or two. "Yeah, that was a good song it made me feel good", or "That was of the in' Hook, Yo!" Don't forget my advance in making a track may differ from yours you might have to compose everything originally, but I take piece by piece join things together. Crafting a puzzle in an image of another. And those things that I make Original never are used as a whole. I resample my own works. I am a DJ at heart and that's what I do. I got street credibility! What do you got?

Are you retarded?
