I used to be a rocker before I got into trance. Coldplay is one of the very few rock bands who play good music. U2 & Radiohead are the other two groups which play good rock (non of this Sum 41/blink 182 crap...althought blink 182 are hilarious! :p )

:happy2: ...And to each his/her own. ;) I like a bit of everything though. I can go from a PvD party, to a Coldplay concert, to a performance by Andrea Boccelli. To be quite honest though, I really most likely wouldn't have even put in the time & money to go to this. But, one of my best friends really wanted me to go with him.
Coldplay + good friends + free tix + backstage passes = Good times.

umm i used be a hardcore rocker and now ans till a semi rocker...i still ocasionally play my guitars and all..

however coldplay is an utterly depressing and slow band just like nickelback...only nickelbackis harder..

my faves include:
U2, Oasis, Radiohead, Weezer, disturbed, linkin park, blur....goes on

Thanks AmbiguousBliss.. I wish I could go :(

El Kay Dee ---> Coldplay is not depressing !.. Their songs are powerful, and a lot of them have to do w/ love. Of course bands like U2, Radiohead etc are great and will be around forever, but I seriously think Coldplay will become the status of a big band like U2 one day. They are awesome. :D

im sorry waxen but i can bet that they are just a passing fad....bands that shoot up to fame so quickly, die out just as quickly....

Simple, I fast-tracked through school and came out 2 years ahead. It's actually something I sort of regret because I never got to party for 2 years of university. People who wonder why I'm so quiet, there's your answer.

But I've noticed quite a few other smart TOTAs, so this shouldn't be such a surprise.
