I had a sweet job lined up at IBM doing reimaging from Windows NT to Win 2000. They did a background check on me and they wanted me to go take a drug test. Then I hear that they are in a hiring freeze because they arte waiting to see if we go to war. And it was for over $20 an hour!!!
I'm taking a Poly Sci class and the UN passed a resoultion in 1994 I think that basically says you cant attack another country unless you are directly threatened by them so since the USA is no where near Iraq we would be in violation of the UN resoultion. This war sucks and it affects you even if you don't think it does. |

So US interference in Bosnia, Somalia, and the gulf war was illegal? Also we have been in a state of war with Iraq since 1991 ... no peace treaty has been signed. We signed a temporary truce agreement with conditions. If those conditions are not satisfied we can return to a state of hostilities, so this 1994 resolution doesn't quite apply. |

The deal with the UN is that no nation is allowed to attack another - without UN security council backing - unless they have been attacked by this other nation or there is direct and definate evidence of an impending attack. In Bosnia and the Gulf (and Kosovo certainly) I'm pretty sure that there was UN backing for the occupation. Not sure about Somalia though. |

Again read what I wrote ... a peace treaty was never attained. Technically the US is still at a state of hostilities with Iraq much like we are with N. Korea. |
