I bleached my hair a few years back.

Didnt hurt that much, and I got some hair bleach from a drug store for like $15 (canadian). Turned out nice and yellow.

your g/f prolly got it for $70 cause she has long hair.

the guy who said that it takes 45-1hr for it turn blonde is absolutely right. thats why it pays to do it in a hair dresser and go under the heater. that way it takes like 15-20 mins.

it cost me $35 with a cut (my hair is normal guy length) and took about 20 mins to get pretty white (my hair is normally light brown). bear in mind i got my hair streaked, not dyed.

if you want to get a bright colour such as blue or red.. bleach your whole head, then ask the hair dresser to lightly streak your head (colour) if you want to have a blonde/(colour) head.. or you can just get them to dye the whole thing (colour) after you bleach it.. but IMO it looks pretty bad when it's all one colour..

the best is when you dye your whole head light light blonde then do the tips blue.. thats what im doing in the summer.. it's just that in the winter if you bleach your whole head.. you get HELLA dandruff..

ok this is the only guy with a clue..... I dont get where you guys are saying it hurts wtf are you talking about.........Oh and do not let your friends do it you may end up orange...due too something in your tap water or what ever your using.. I have bleached/colored my hair prolly 50 times over the years....colors from pink to a green that glows under a black light and my hair is as healthy as always each time it has costed me around 35 with a haircut...but that depends on where you live...oh and another thing about color...Even the perma hair dyes eventialy wash out the colors that last the best is red but it normaly turns pink after a few weeks of washing....Good luck to ya...

you have to use some sort of bleach to remove the pigment from your hair if you want to get it to hold another color. you can probbly find a friend to do it for you though i wouldn't with my hair like that. my ex gets his hair died and it usually costs about $70 from what i understand.

your boyfriend is wack
when i used to paint my hair differnt colors
i would have to bleach my hair
and it would cost me not even 5 bucks for the matierals

go to like a store that sells things for beauty salons and you should find it there

and yea if you have an h-e-b or a walmart they sell kits for like 5-7 dollars not 75 :nervous:

yeah but he had the salon do it, he doesn't do it himself. i suppose that isn't the average cost - it might be because he gets his hair done in midtown manhattan (which can be a bit overpriced.)

thats in sick dude.. where did you get that stuff?

I have dark brown hair and highlight/bleach it all the time, I buy this stuff at the store ($7.00) and it is a bottle of crystals and a bottle of this liquid. Mix them together, put it in your hair, wait about 45 min and presto.

If your hair is that dark you will have to bleach all the color out and then color it what you want.

Use a good shampoo & conditioner so you dont screw your hair up for a while after you bleach it.

Post the pics!

he he... I love the way you express yourself m8...very effective !!!
For few seconds I guess I really felt what you ment DEEP inside me :) :)

By the way does anyone know the chemical components of bleach??? I'm really curious about that. I fact I know nothing about it but this summer I'll probaBLY die my hair so I'll be very happy to know what I'll be doing to my hair...

Also... what happens when you die your hair without bleach??? I mean just apply yhe paint???

Ok for bleach its actually hyrdrogen peroxide(i think)... As for the cool glow under the black light colors i was talking about here they are a lot of salon supply places have this brand i have found it to be the best the more expensive colors realy dont seem to hold well....and at most porfessional salons they actually mix a custom haircolor for you they dont just toss premade stuff in your hair....but for crazy colors they cant realy effectively do that....anyway heres a link http://www.manicpanic.biz/ct_CG13931614.htm

As far as I know, the colour simply won't even be able to grab a hold of your hair and stay on there. So I don't think that it (the colour) will look very weak or faded, but rather that it won't even appear at all.
