Hey guys,
I have a chance to pick up a set of Numark TT-1700 turntables for just about nothing, excellent condition with orginal boxes and all. Besides the fact that they are belt driven, would these be worth it for a starter? All I really want to do is pick them up, learn, and pass them down for about the same price I got them at. Your comments would be awsome... ;) |

That is how I started...on some awfull belt drive turntables, but it gave me the chance to figure out if it was something that I wanted to do. How much are you getting them for? Don't spend too much cause like you said you will get rid of them when you don't need them anymore. I was lucky to just have them handed down to me, I didn't have to pay anything for them. The only thing that I had to do was to buy a mixer, which wasn't really a problem. But yea if you can get them pretty much handed down to you then I would say go for it, but save at the same time just in case you decide that you want to move on and make the plunge in better decks. |

witht that being said I would not get them. Is this something that you want to do? is this something that you want to invest the money on? if you are unsure, then I would suggest getting some tracks(if you don't have some already) and take them somewhere where you can kinda get the feel of things from there. That is only a suggestion. |
