nice progressive track, can't add much more than that
except I think it's a little too long
have you been signed to a label yet? |

well its a 9:50 minute track, most of it builds up till the final beats...
i wanted it to be long :)
as for the labels, i'm working on it
something to do with Black Hole Recordings
just hope it will go smooth...

Hmm...I'm givin this track a listen right now.
Okay, the bass, and all the effects that accompany the track are good. The beat is steady and progressive. Did you make some of these synths from scratch? That one synth at 3:05 is interesting, and sounds like it's made from scratch. When the beat starts again at 3:34, it has this energy to it. Very dance-like, and 'neutral', which means, it's not dark, or light, but in between. From the start I imagine you wanted to make a bangin ass progressive track. At 4:32 that synth was interesting, as the beat was slowin down. The vocals were cool, and so were the breakdowns, which is rare sometimes in Progressive. In noticed you added some 'Trancey' breaks, or is it me? Well, kept the track from being un-interesting, but the track was very interesting, and kept my attention.
That's the thing, I really don't listen to much prog singles, unless a good DJ is spinnin some wicked stuff. I can imagine this track being a banger, since it does stand out in lotsa ways. It's not bad, and I can't think of anything to add, so that's a BIG plus. -Mental |

Sounds good. If I had to label it, I would call it trance. Not progressive. The synth sound that comes in @ 3:14 is nice. I would keep it simple instead if doing the riff that comes in @ 3:16. I would still teak the synth a bit. Make it deeper or "thicker".
I would def skip the synth @ 4:31 completely or tweak it.
Hats and percs are perfect.
Synth @ 6:21, make darker(bring pitch down a couple of cents)
I am more of a proghead than a trancehead. I noticed at first the track seems a lil trancy. It then chills down more to prog.
*By the way, I would ask for permission to use the vocal before sending it away to labels. I dont know if you already did this but its very important to get acknowledgment first from the original artist. As soon as your track started to play, I instantly knew it was "I wish you were here". Vocal is of course beautiful but obviously not yours even though you cut it up. You then let the lyrics run later.*
I dont know dude, I would leave those lyrics alone. They are classic.
But the track sounds good. My opinion. Goodluck with Blackhole. One of my fav labels.

well, this is quality. sound really very pro, excellent work there. love the vocals too. can't say i'm the biggest fan of the melodies used but it doesn't sound bad - just not my personal taste. but this sure is quality enough to get pressed on a 12". good luck there on getting ya deal!
also, err.. this doesn't feel that "progressive" to me. but a solid trancer. |
