i think this war will do all of us some good.
the high oil prices are about speculation, give it time. ride a bike ffs its good for the environment

High oil prices are better for the environment because people start driving more gas efficient cars. They are comming out with gas elctric hybrid SUVs soo, so that will be great. :D :D

well its hard not to look like a bully when you attack people who cant fight back. Dont you see the irony here people?? iraq has weapons of mass destruction bush says but will conveniently ignore the north korea situation cause they can actually fight back now. Plus theres no oil in the region making a fight with them unprofitable...
Theres just so many double standards they dont have a leg to stand on, atleast dont bull the world telling them you are doing us all a favour, your fighting for PROFIT!!
well since so many people oppose war yet you still go ahead its hard not to compare you to fascists, but hey there is money to be made, so i guess its more important than morals.
WHat really cracks me up thou is how bush is teling us he represents freedom, and democracy yet goes against the majority vote, last i checked they called that dictatorship......kinda what saddams doing, too many ironies

We aren't invading N. Korea for a number of reasons, chief among them 1) The Iraqi people are suffering under Saddam's rule, while the N. Koreans are chill atm, 2) The leader of N. Korea hasn't yet killed 2 million of his own people (at last check).

A dictatorship is a form of government that oppresses its own people. Living in the U.S., the only oppression I've experienced is the so-called 'Hip-Hop' music. And I know Eminem isn't part of the Senate:(

hahaha did anyone watch the speech? Did you see the part where he was sending a message to iraqi militants, giving them a list of things they better not do or have their asses kicked? Look at what the FIRST THING it was he said for them not to do: dont destroy the oil fields!

Well if they did destroy the oil fields, then what would the remaining Iraqis have to profit from? Genuine Iraqi sand?!?!?! Geez...Just a 'lil sum-sum to think about.

I just wanted to hear everyone's opinion if America was really attacked for no reason or for what reason.

There's always a reason. Nobody would sacrifice his life for nothing. The talibans' brainwashed religious views were very opposed to the western way of living, and they only waited for an excuse to attack. They were at peace with the US only because of financial reasons, or to be more precise, US was to build a large oil pipeline through Afghanistan. However the US decided not to go on with the works because of unstable situation. I guess that gave Bin Laden an excuse to attack. I might be wrong, though.

Over 2 million of people died because of starvation in North Korea. They were offered financial aid and were only asked to opene up to the rest of the world in return, but KJI refused to do so. Not to mention that most of the NK budget is dedicated to military. If they had cut down their military budget just a small amount, they'd have enough food to stop the death of those people. They didn't, though. This only shows your lack of knowledge in the matter, and how american news are selectively putting up stories in order to create false images of reality in people.

expect gas to become $5 a gallon.

does anyone remember in the 70s about the rations of gasoline we had (in america)? My dad told me that the US was trying to spread out gasoline equally and thus there was a maximum of $5 of gas to each car. Think we are heading in that direction?

No ... the reasons for that were because there was an OPEC embargo on the US at the time. It had catastrophic effects on the world economy and probably hurt OPEC more than it hurt the US. At any rate a lesson was learned and it's very unlikely that that will happen again.
