Hey JayD,

I couldn't believe that 'Plastic Boy - Silverbath' didn't do it to the SEMI's ! :whip:
And after having done the math, I was even more confused, because 'Silverbath' clearly got the 2nd most of the votes !!! :conf:

Then came the illumination: Now I understood why my favourite song didn't make it! You're just counting which combo was most liked, which unfortunatelly isn't a fair vote at all :(((

PLEASE, would it be possible to have the 2 SONGS which got the MOST VOTES WHEN YOU COUNT EACH SINGLE VOTE ?!!!
( and not the COMBO (of 2 songs) which got most votes )

---------------- Calcs for FAIR voting ---------------------
[madjer@rivaldo d2k]$ perl TA_voting.pl 65 33 56 10 63 29
Votes for track 1: 154 = (+65+33+56) (01. Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun)
Votes for track 2: 138 = (+65+10+63)
Votes for track 3: 72 = (+33+10+29)
Votes for track 4: 148 = (+56+63+29) (04. Plastic Boy - Silverbath)
( Silverbath HAS GOT 10 VOTES MORE THAN 'J.Holden - Nothing' !!!! )

[madjer@rivaldo d2k]$ perl TA_voting.pl 39 37 60 35 38 36
Votes for track 1: 136 = (+39+37+60) (01. Gouryella - Ligaya)
Votes for track 2: 112 = (+39+35+38)
Votes for track 3: 108 = (+37+35+36)
Votes for track 4: 134 = (+60+38+36) (04. Solar Stone - Seven Cities 2002 )
( NO DOUBT HERE ! )
---------------------------------------------------------

btw, I will also do the fair calculations on the other 1/4 Finals to see if this happened more than once ...

I hope I'm not alone with this :toocool:

Votes went by the percentage of people which voted and by which tracks were voted and by the percentage of times it was voted. Therefor leaving Nothing w/ more of a percentage making it to the finals. I did not "only count" the track which was most voted (2 in 1) it was all done on a fair scale. What I can do is throw in another thread for Silverbath and Energy 52 since they were pretty much tied with the percentage of others and then with those I will see which is making it to the last four votes.

Could you please show me this in a math. formula (maybe we can find a bug ;)
In this case only numbers show us the truth :P

I extended my script to also show the percentages (which don't give ANY extra information at all ;) because they contain the same numbers only multiplied by a constant factor (100/512 in our case))

Track4 is 2. with 28.91%

( I fear that your calculation, either didn't take into account all the numbers, or even weighted them too much by quadratic operations for instance (like if you took 65 * 25.39% ...) :nervous:
both of which would falsen the vote! )

Madjer (who was very good in math :toocool:

---------------------------------------------------
[madjer@rivaldo d2k]$ perl TA_voting.pl 65 33 56 10 63 29
1 and 2 : 65 25.39%
1 and 3 : 33 12.89%
1 and 4 : 56 21.88%
2 and 3 : 10 3.91%
2 and 4 : 63 24.61%
3 and 4 : 29 11.33%
Total votes: 256 * 2 = 512
Total votes T1: 154 = ( + 65 + 33 + 56) 30.08% = ( + 25.39% + 12.89% + 21.88%) / 2
Total votes T2: 138 = ( + 65 + 10 + 63) 26.95% = ( + 25.39% + 3.91% + 24.61%) / 2
Total votes T3: 72 = ( + 33 + 10 + 29) 14.06% = ( + 12.89% + 3.91% + 11.33%) / 2
Total votes T4: 148 = ( + 56 + 63 + 29) 28.91% = ( + 21.88% + 24.61% + 11.33%) / 2
