Dancing

It occurred to me the other day that while trance, progressive, and various other forms of electronic music are considered "dance" music, most avid listeners prefer to well, just listen. I personally think the ultimate homage to an amazing set is to show enthusiasm by dancing. With this in mind, it boggles my mind when I go and see someone like PVD and people are just kinda staring at him as though they're awaiting a message from god. What do you guys think about this?

I hate people who don't dance, they piss me off when I'm trying to move and everyone's standing around like they forgot their name or something. If you're not gonna dance, stay in the back and form circles around the glowsticking candy-ravers or something.

yeah, i dont like it when people are just standing around with their thumb in their ass. i dance a little when i get there and as the night goes on and i have more sauce in me i dance more haha.

Why is it that you hate when people dont dance. Some are just just shy and not comfortable. It is not like they take up more room then others. On the contrary, they dont hit or kick you. People pay to go to a party and want to be right in middle, enjoying the music.

The only thing I hate is those that keep coming back and forth, to and from the dance floor. It is like they got something stuck up their behind.

you dance to music... its the most natural thing to do. You move to the beat... its super annoying when people don't dance, if everyone is moving around and dancing it adds to the energy of the party.

Those who don't dance, just bog it down, and suck away the life of the party. Besides you will usually have a good time if you go out and dance. If you are going to take up space, it better be for good reason, so get up and fricken just flow.

But what is even more annoying then people that don't dance, is people that walk around aimlessy, and you have to stop dancing to let them through... ruins the groove.

where i'm from, you 'shuffle'! :p

and no, that's not the 'stand there aimlessly moving one's feet around' dance. unless of course you're being disparaging about melbourne's stamp on the scene... :toothless

I always dance when I go to a show, but there is a point when I get tired, and very frustrated from getting my feet stepped on and getting bumped into from the various people walking through the crowd. Although I enjoy dancing, there is a point where I take a break, get off the floor, and I am content just chilling, listening, and watching the crowd.
