i'm at this moment.. (again) running Win 98se on a PIII 600, 128mb ram laptop.. totally 11gb of HD.

2) i have a .iso file right now, just 1 file.. so do i justburn that onto CD?? and then boot it from Startup?
or wut?

3) "clean install".. whats that?/
do i just Uninstall the file in question? or what?

well...i don't know a whole lot about computers but...

...there are programs out there that will allow you to repartition your drive without having to reformat...

...but, i've never used any of them....the only way i've done it is to:

- boot into ms-dos mode
- type "fdisk"
- sift through the option and choose to delete primary and extended partitions
- then create new partitions
- reboot and reformat all partitions by using "format C:/s" and "format d:"...and make sure you set your primary dos partition active by going into "fdisk" again

...that should work 'cause i just did it to my computer the other day...but...if you are not sure, take someone elses advice (preferably someone who knows more about computer than i do).

***remember...if you use this method you will lose all information that is saved on your drive***

1) well you can partition a drive by doing the ol way fdisk from the command prompt, BUT that gives you a very limited option, and plus you have to delete all your info and then start over again. Best thing to do, use a program like partition magic, it allows you to create a partion, resize etc etc etc, without affecting your configuration, or without formatting, so you can have say win98 on c: and you can have d, e , f (you get the point) lots of partition.

2) .iso are file image formats designed to be burn on cd, so yeah basically you burn it on a cd. and you can read it like a normal cd' no need to boot it up from startup.

3) Not too sure what you mean by "clean install" what are you trying to do, use the add/remove option in control panel? in that case yes it removes your file the same as a uninstall, same thing different word, but if you want to really removed the program completely use a program such as cleansweep, it takes out all the unwanted files, u can get most of these program from a warez site or buy it :D if you want i have them so let me know if u want it

1)
-use a 98se startup disk to boot
-run fdisk
-wipe your current partitions (make sure you backed everything important up!)
-create one partition (windows setup can make the other one)
-reboot, boot off your windows cd
-install
-repeat with other version of windows

2) you need to burn a cd from the iso file... eg use easy cd creator an goto file -> create cd from image... select your file and burn... voila
