I'm trying to run Emagic sounddiver for my Virus, but I'm having a problem. I am running a virus C, an evolution controller and an audiophile soundcard. My problem is in setting up the midi connections so that i can use sounddiver and still use the keyboard.
Could someone help me out as to the midi connection set up to run it all. The examples in the manual only work if your keyboard has midi in/out/thru and my keyboard only has midi out |

| try connecting the 'midi out' into the 'midi thru' of the virus. and the 'midi out' and 'midi in' of the virus into your computer |

That's how I tried it. Midi out of the controller into midi thru on the module. Midi out on the module into midi in on the computer. Midi out on the computer into midi in on the module.
The virus doesn't recieve any midi data from my midi controller, and sounddiver can't find a device either. Both lo and hi page are set to sysex. Me no understand what's wrong. Is there something I need to change in the Virus settings, cos I can't find it. Do I need to activate midi thru? |

Okay, I've managed to sort out half the problems. I just reinstalled my audio drivers and reinstalled sounddiver.
I still have one problem though, and maybe anyone using a synth can answer this.
When I connect my midi controller to my synth, should I connect it to midi thru? becasue this still doesn't seem to work. I want to know if it have the right connections before I go asking the people who sold it to me or Access what's wrong.

| Okay, I've sorted it all out now. I emailed Access technical support and they told me I need 2 midi ins on my sound card. Gonna have to get myself a Midi Merger box now. |
