Well I'll tell you what I've been waiting for this all my life.
This is gonna be awesome, hope it becomes reality.
If I start saving now I'll be present, but after attending I'll die happy.

Damn! Those FIFA guys are planning ahead :D

But nobody can say that Brazil don't deserve to host the world cup.

When was it last in Brazil... I can't remember.

That would be the craziest world cup to date. Brazilian fans are the best, so much passion + emotion for the game. Watching the Brazilian league is so entertaining, especially when a goal is scored and the fans simply go ape :)

peace,

Aussies should stike to the sports that they now have :D

Those guys are so damn good at a lot of sports already (cricket, rugby, swimming)

Leave the footie to the rest of the world :toothless

Brazil would be great but are their stadiums actually up to it? You know what the consequences could be if they aren't, and I believe FIFA take this kind of thing very seriously now. They'd have to meet some pretty tight regulations. Look how many brand new stadiums South Korea built for last year's world cup, I think they built something like 14 stadiums in 2001 alone! Still, Brazil have plenty of time I suppose.

FIFA seem to be making an effort to sell football worldwide, they had it in USA in '94 and Japan/S.Korea in '02 and it will be in Africa in 2010. A world cup in Brazil would do the game some nice publicity, assuming everything went without a hitch.

I'd love to see it in England again but with our reputation that is some way off. Up until Euro 2000 we actually stood a chance of hosting the 2006 world cup.
