Hi guys, Well.. u know.. im starting trying produce somethig,..
Im Using Reason 2, I have read the Getting Started Manual , and im starting the Operation Manul, However I have a fast quiestion now..
im making a litttle song.I have made a little melody with subtractors, have added effects, and have worked with the Redrum machine... however there is something i cant make..
well.. is a sample that is used in almost every song... its like a Cymbal..u know Cybal is used for FInishi a Track or a Phrase.
but the one im talking.. is the one is used just before the first beat of a pharse, but in the first beat it converts in like a Cymbal.
so.. how do i works with this?.. using the Redrum?.. the NN-19 Sampler?... how i can make to sync the time that converts in cymbal start with the first beat.?
Well.. I hope not bothering... I try to post the less I can. |

I'm just taking a guess as to what you are talking about. Do you mean a symbol that builds up to a crash.
If so, take a sample of a symbol. You can export one from reason by putting it in redrum and exporting the loop as an audio file. Just make it a really short loop. Then trim it in Sound Forge (I assume you are using this) so that all you have is the symbol sound. reverse it. Then apply reverb to it so that it has a long tail. Now you should have a backwards symbol with a lot of sound after it. Click reverse again and you get the symbol in forward motion but there is a build up to the crash. Save the sound as a wav. file and then you can reload it back into redrum.
Hope this is what you mean. |

Thanks Man, That helped a lot, that was what I was looking, I made the sample, but where is supposed that the sample will be.. I mean.. I put on the Beat 3 of the 16 beats that the redrum has... just 13 beats before a Phrase... that doesnt matter... i mean.. if i make another sample maybe will SYnc in 14 beats before... so. will be in beat 2 of 16.... or that is a wrong thing?... should I variate the Speed or something until fits.. or its ok the way I do?
thanks |

Where you put the sample in redrum depends on how long the sample is. You need to put the sample in the position that will make it end where you want it to end. Do you understand?
The way you are doing now seems to be okay. As long as it sounds right, then it is fine. |
