theres a lot of things that can contribute to back pain. if its injury related like mine is i cant sit or stand for long periods of times...and sometimes if you sit in the same kind of chair for too long that could be a problem. i had a chair that i used to sit in when i was on my comp for all those many hours and my back started to hurt for a long time....i changed the chair and ive been ok where thats concerned ever since then...

not sure if that helped lol

Hmm..well I have been working alot on my computer recently..just spent a week non stop on it in the same chair so thats maybe why..plus it may have been an injury from lifting weights..hmm..well I changed chairs so I'll see how it goes in the next few days. Damnnnnn they hurt!

if you can, see a doctor
if not, just keep your back straight and rest up, see if it gets better, if not, see a doctor

you could have a shower and alternate between hot and cold water (as extreme as you can take) to help your back

What ever advice you follow, you should be aware that screwing up your back can be permanent; it can leave you with permanent pain for the rest of your life with nothing you can do about it. Just telling you to take it seriously cause people with permanent back pain can barely walk when they reach 60 - not fun.

You said you sit at a computer a lot, thats an easy way to screw your back if you dont watch that you have a straight posture, with feet touching the floor (preferably at an angle) with eye level being no higher then top of your monitor.

Also for lifting weights never bend your back to lift weights. Alwasy keep back straight while bending legs to lift any weight - whether your doing squats or are just reaching down to pick up some dumbells so you can do some biceps curls.

Also, see a chiropractor. Hopefully you are lucky to see a good chiropractor; they can really help.

you gotta do more than change chairs hun. i have one of those ergonomic chairs but it is worthless as long as i sit with bad posture. my chiropractor helps wit te realignment but you have to do exercises to strengthen your back religously.

wellllll i have good posture, but when i sit i usually slouch back (ahh lazyness :D) and put my feet up :p (doing that right now too..with my keyboard on my lap) i plan on just resting for now, if that dosent help i'll see a doctor. thanks to all thouse that are helping! :)
