One thing I've never understood about Paul Van Dyk....if he's German, then why does he speak with an obvious British accent? I mean, it's not as if he's speaking English with a German accent....he actually has a nice crisp, intelligent English accent. I always thought he may have been born in Germany but moved to England.

Anyway, why does he speak like a Brit but claim to be German? Explain.;)

i think the 'British' accent is actually the natural tone that people obtain when they start to speak fluent English. Not only this but Old English spoke in the UK was derived from the German language (atleast from what i know). I've even noticed that many Asians in Hong Kong who were taught to speak English during Britain's colonial times there sounded more 'British' over a Northern-North American accent..

i don't know too much about linguistics altho it's a very interesting topic! but i think the southern American English accent actually came out before the accent that we use now ..

I'll get him to sign a cheque for $1,000,000 in my name... of course, he'll be tired and won't really pay attention to what he's really signing.

HAHAHAHA nice one. How very clever of you!
