word CluBBer i totally agree!!!! that rubbish sounds the same as it did 5 years ago...u can listen to any trance anthem from 99' [or whenever] i.e. for an angel (blah, what crap), kiss (airscape remix)(decent), avb - communication, they all sound they same as the today!!! there is no progression in trance what-so-ever....same vocals, synths, breakdowns, etc......if u look at other genres such a breakbeats and dnb and study their history...look back 10 yrs ago and then listen to how far it has progressed today u will be very impressed...everyday a new quality track is released in these genres and sounds better than the last track, ive been into the electonic music scene for over 8 yrs...i used to really be into trance/ hard house during its golden ages 98'-00' but i slowly matured and grew a passion for more 'intelligent' music....:tongue3
Az
for all those who misunderstood
Gimp means many things
AndskiSpeed, I've seen Pulp Fiction, and know what that type of gimp is
In my area of the country Gimp also means Idiot, twat, etc.....
Digityl, u get that from Usual Suspects :conf:

I'm just impressed with how he fully explained and expanded all the main points of his argument, clearly outlining all evidence for his case, and looked at both sides of the story, finally weighing up a conclusion.

Personally I don't think drum n'bass has evolved so much the last years. I used to listen to a lot of dnb and the stuff I hear now sound pretty much the same as it did when I was hooked

That title proves nothing. I've been on TA alot and I finally registered because I felt like expressing some opinions on some tracks.
What's your deal anyways? Is this thread intentionally made to start arguements for your amusement? I have nothing against you but I am concerned why you would post a message like that in a trance community.

Ok yeah, I was suppose to post that earlier but TA at the time was acting slow for some reason.

I would like to reitterate the fact that your argument, in its essence was pure dog. I agree there hasn't been a large progression in trance, but there has been some, I.e the development of newer subgenres for example hardtrance, but also within uplifting trance there has been some progression too. Think about it, more artists must mean more sounds, and for me thats progresion. Hard House doesnt evolve much, but im not sure the purpose of hard house is to evolve. At the end of the day, who gives a about progression. Why do we need such a large degree of progression so much? Im happy at the moment, trance progresses at a rate i like. Please, next time you decide to post a stupid comment like that, come fully equipt with a clue of somesort. You will need it to form the basis of any sustainable argument.
