On the contrary. Where is the proof? Why do you think Germany, France and a host of other countries are against this as well as the protests etc? Get rid of Saddam by all means but find proof of what they allege FIRST then take action. They've waited 12 years and it's done nothing? So wait a little more and then if you still can't find anything then go in. |

Wait wait wait ... after 12 YEARS of nothing happening we should continue to wait AND THEN DO SOMETHING??? When would that be, 500 YEARS from now??? Like I said before, it's not up to the world to prove Iraq is violating sanctions, it's up to Iraq to convince the world that they are in compliance. |

Isn't Iraq even disarming those missles (I forget what they're called)? Plus the inspector's aren't finished doing their job are they? What's the harm in waiting to get proof? (and NO I never said waiting for 500 years, a month or so max) and then get the rest of the world behind it once the wait is over so the disagreements won't be so many. Don't you think going in at it in world that is UNITED is better then going at it as if the countries involved are a few that think they are "right" just because they say so? Ok, no more debate for me. I mean it's not like I want Saddam to be in power anyway...it's just the way that he is being ousted is the problem I have. |

What are you talking about Nalin???? How do you mean? I've been backing up all of my arguments with sources unlike most people. There has never been any direct argument to refute my claims that gallup is a reputable statistical analysis firm. I even posted their statistical sampling methods for god's sake. Please back up your claim that I'm "thinking I know more than everyone else." As a matter of fact, I hate posting ANYTIHNG without supporting evidence. So once again, please support your claim that I think that I know more than anybody else on these forums! |

what are you talking about buckshot?
altho occrider and i don't agree on most things, he always tries to come up with logical arguements supported by strong evidence.
he comes up with some of the most thoughtout and best arguements on these boards (at least of the ones i've read).
the boy comes up with strong evidence for everything he says and tries to make sure that all the points brought up on these boards are truthfull. and does a pretty good job of it |

| Besides ... I responded to Az with regards to his statment and he has yet to reply. What the right do you have to say that I'm "owned" when you didn't even make the original statement much less REPLIED to what I said in responce????? |

Thanks for the support montie ... I hate it when people depict me as being something I strive so hard to avoid. Yes I'm very pro-American and I realize that. But I like to think that I'm not blind to what happens around me and if I can't prove it I don't say it (well I try at least). And by the same measure if someone provides very convincing arguments that discounts my theory that I can't refute I change my stance on the matter. The whole torture thread for instance. I had never heard of that, I critisized the US for it, it never appeared on CNN, and I have a more jaded opinion as a result. If you think that I'm "biased" then I can just as easily say the same as you for disbelieving that Americans are capable of independant thought. |
