Just bought In My Memory... ffs !

Right, so I'm pretty annoyed right now.

I just paid 27 euros for double-disc version of Tiësto's "In My Memory".

Well, guess what?
The first disc is defective, ffs!!! :whip:

I've tried it on 4 different players - it doesn't work on my portable cd player OR my regular CD player. However it does work in my dad's CD player and my PC's CD-rom... but since I mostly listen to CD's with the portable one this disc is as good as a beer coaster for me.

The labels whine about mp3s ruining the industry and at the same time they sell ing overpriced discs that don't even work!!

s, the lot of them.
PaRaNoIk0
go back to the store and demand a replacement cd.
Mr.Mystery
Bah, I'll get a refund.

Keep your poxy cd's, damnit - I'll listen to the mp3.

why dont you use some initiative and go back to the shop to get a working version and tell them you had to pay extra money to come back again and demand some form of compensation. they should give you a voucher off the price of your next cd from there....instead of instantly using it as an excuse forevermore to download albums off the net

Get your facts straight, demon boy.

Maybe you'd like to tell me how exactly I can change it to a working version if it was the _only_ copy I could find around here?

well if you will make comments like this on a message board expect for someone to have a viewpoint on it that doesnt agree with yours.

why dont you mail Blackhole or Nettwerk and tell them, im sure they would love to hear your thoughts about their product and what you will be doing in future :p

Mr.Mystery
All right, so I'm going a bit over the top... don't you ever do that when you're angry?

The problem here is that I'm not particularily sure who's fault it is. It isn't exactly the shop's fault since they only sell the discs and I doubt Black Hole actually presses the records themselves either.

I am also quite unsure what the hell I should do since like I said it was indeed the only copy of the album that I could find... sure, I can find the regular version of it but not the double-disc one.

I've had similar problems with a few CDs too in the past. I do go over-the-line angry but i never post my feelings here (usually), i just try to do something to clear out the problem. Luckily i got them sorted and CDs to function properly.. :happy2:
