yup remember we were asking one of the staff at Release Records last weekend what it was and he said it was a remix by "MV". Who ever that is.

Also on the note of hip-hop in the electronic music. If you listen carefully to the Gabriel and Dresden new Essential mix from March of this year there they have a new promo tune they made with vocal by Missy Elliot from one of her latest tracks what ever the hell her new track is. Anyways the new track is called "Gabriel & Dresden - Acid Elliot".

But it's not really new, Missy Elliot has been remade before too.

Also was gonna mention that "Hammer" just got a remake by the cheese farmers of Germany! ;) "Beam vs. Cyrus - Can't Touch This"
here is a sample:
Beam vs. Cyrus - Can't Touch This kind of pathetic really!

Martin Villenuve, from Ottawa, Yoshiesque type shhhhtuffff!

Hip-hop tracks have been remade into house/trance tunes a bunch of times before, thats not really that big a deal. Whats big is that they are now COLLABORATING together. ie. not remixing eachother, but making tunes TOGETHER!

I dunno I think this is a pretty big deal. Some might argue that its dumb and cheesey but I think its pretty good. It might make the music more accessible. Which means more people get into the scene, more new ideas on how to prouduce, throw parties etc etc...! Thus more evolution...?!

I dunno those are my random thoughts on this...!

That soundtrack was the most WACKED soundtrack eVar!!

It's like they paired a bunch of artists by pulling from a hat, hopeing for the next big marketing thing to capitalize on. :clown:

Bah, screw Oakenfold, after Bunkka I've lost all faith in him.

In general though, assuming the artist isn't a total sellout, it's no different from BT's "incestuous" relationship with N'Sync... :p
