I had heard about the z-series but never tried any of them...
z-680 is a little pricey though :)
my main concern is sound quality... I don't need something very very powerful...
edit: I'm checking other websites for reviews... hard to find a bad review for this... |

| If you don't need 5.1 surround sound ... check out the Logitec Z-560s. I'm very happy with mine. The only complaint I've heard about them is that the bass can be a bit overpowering. |

If you looking for sound quality for JUST audio purposes...i would go with the klipsch. the inner workings are much more audiophile-quality then logitech's. but the logitech ones are more flexible in terms of gaming, movies, etc.
klipsch may be more expensive i think...but as long as u dun go the 5.1 route, it's 2.1 system is pretty damn good for its price. |

No no no no NO!!
If you are looking for music quality, go with a 2.0 or 2.1 speaker system!
The Monsoon Planarmedia 14 are a good bet, and you can still get the Swan M-200's from www.theaudioinsider.com |

what do u mean by 2.0 or 2.1 speaker system?
it's so hard to decide just by reviews... so far, logitech has many positive reviews, but I just can't trust logitech. don't know why...
some ppl are telling me to buy a real home theater system (sony, Pioneer, etc...) instead of a pc speaker...
somebody help meeee :nervous: |

These baby's will rock the house. The sub is very accurate and goes down to 38 hz. I used these for DJing too!!!
If you think you are gonna get the same sound quality of a $200 home theatre then you know something I don't.
$200 home theatre systems suck real bad.
Klipsch makes really good quality speakers and are used in professional environments as well as hi-end home theatre. I got my klipsch 2.1 for $175 and they are not only loud but also accurate. |

actually u can find HTS of sony or other good brands around 250 $, but then again, as u said, they may not be good...
is there a big difference between the klipsch series? I mean for example between 2.1 and 5.1? |
