hey guys, I am slowly making my steps towards producing, actually I'm gonna stick to learning how to work with different appz right now such as reason.
I need a favour from you guys, is there anywhere where I could find a sample of those wkd hihats used by marco v in his c:\del*.mp3 track? Could I possibly managed something similar by using reason?
thanx |

U can get many cool perc just with noise wavs at different given frequencies, and envelopes of volume, cut, res, and so on. Try it.
U can also get 4 or so different kinds of percussion samples and modify them using the same process to get 20 or so original new ones

By the way, Marco V is one of the most skilled producers with hats. U can learn much bout the construction of a good rhythm with hats, listening to his songs.
There r some tips for it:
1) Use various layers of hats, each one at different frequencies, makin the higher ones less frequent.
2) Make some/much panning in some layers to give life and shine to the hats.
3) Use reeverb and/or delay in some of them to raise the hi-fi feel of the mix.
4) Try using a slow mid-power flange/phase fx or some layer of frequent hats to give a cool tweak in the flow of the rhythm
5) Hide some discret cymballs among the beats to give ore sparkle to your sound without changing the rhythm.
6) Experiment and mess a lot with them and u will eventualy get something that wicked :) |
