wtf? I hate it when politicians assume that they know whats best for us.

Really, wtf dont they do something about the fact that kids across the province are becoming deprives of sleep because of how intense this new ing curriculum is.

dude..dont frfet...its for elementary schools....ur in high school, ur ok

but honestly, there was talk of this in september last year in accordance to ape some of the schools in USA which had drastically good results of healthier students.

I have to agree with what he is doing. Obesity is costing the health care system millions every year. Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in North America, with an improper diet being one of the major factors in the development of it.

sleep deprivation is a MUCH larger health problem. I remember reading some study on it awhile back, and kids aren't getting enough sleep (and I got 3 hours of sleep last night because I was up late doing projects and homework, so I've got to agree)

you think your curriculum is hard? You're in highschool right? Go to School in Europe boy. Grade 13 here = Grade 9 there. The only reason you guys think its tough is is because they don;t prepare u for it in Middle school. You think this is hard now? Wait till u goet to Unversity or College. you will DIE (altho I hope u don't). Trust me Buddy. It gets worse.

wow..u know what??if ur sleep deprived in high school, it means u study too hard...

over here that is...

i never opened a single book unless i had exams, not even for tests

i had too much of sleep when in high school

For once I agree with E*Master. :p I had to study a little harder since I went to a private school, but for the most part, it really was a breeze.

And forget Europe, try Asian countries like China or Japan. They learn algebra in grade 3, not grade 9. Personally I think the public school system is wrecked because it has no money, but I've got nothing against them raising the academic standards. They've been far too low for far too long. If you think what you're doing is hard now, allow me to show you my 3rd-year elec assignments if you want to your pants.

The reason kids in high school are sleep-deprived is because they haven't properly learned the fundamentals. My mom's a teacher and her biggest bitch is the students that can barely even multiply two numbers together. Or worse, students who can barely figure out how to write their name down. It's pathetic and sad. Frankly, for the students of tomorrow, I would be very happy for the academic standards to be raised at an elementary level, so kids are adequately prepared for the now-harder high-school curriculum.

Yeah u are right. The friggin Asian Countries are even worse!! I never studied in Highschool EVER. Not for tests or Exams. I agree they need to raise the academic levels in middle and elementry school. It is just way to easy there.
Arsalan
yeah i agree, they should prepare the students from mid school because its too easy.
