| i bought like 8 new records there on saturday and two of them (both frombonzai) have skips. Im from out of town, with no car, so its really hard to get backl to toronto. Anyway, i emailed just explaining the situation. They didnt email me back yet, but they did manage to add me to their ing mailing list! GRRRRR!!! |

| You aren't the first person to have complaints about how Paul (owner) runs the place. I suggest calling tomorrow and explaining the situation (do you have a receipt?) but honestly, I wouldn't expect much. If he doesnt offer to do anything, tell him you're just one of the many people who has decided not to shop there ever again. |

its not necessarly the pits fault, it could've been bonzai who ed up the vinyl...but i do think if the pit has the record in stock still that they should replace it
its such a piss off when you come home with a record and it skips :whip: |

the service was really good when i was there. the guy asked me what i was looking for and picked out a ton for me to listen to...he would even bring me more when i was running low. i dont think it was the owner that was serving me though.
i know its not the pit's fault the record skips, but wouldnt they just be able to return it to bonzai? |

Not quite that simple. Shipping back to Europe because someone put a scratch on it (most likely in the store) would be costly and time consuming. When I could only see them getting partially compensated.
The record industry is ed up, promo's, white labels, established labels folding over left and right. Don't really expect the Walmart guarantee on returns. |

| Those skips might have something to do with the dropping of records by me last weekend, sorry, just call me butterfingers, or jerkface, either one is good |

I find the Pit is really bad with this. It can be a good thing if you've got an hour to listen to records, but everytime I go in there to look for something specific, they always just grab tons of stuff for me when I don't have time to listen to it. Last time, I said "I dont have time to listen to that" and they seemed pissed.
Once I was in there and came across a record that was COMPLETELY warped. I was amazed it played at all. I mentioned it to Paul (owner) and he seemed to not care at all. And then he put it back in the bin.
I really dont like the Pit, other than that it's easy to find what you're looking for and it's not crammed like Play De. |

Off the Florida Keys, there's a place called Kokamo - that's where I want to go, to get away from it all.
Come on pretty mamma. |

What do you think is the reason for that place not being crammed like other stores? Yep, you got it... |

i dunno about that... it's always crammed when i go there... they had to add 4 extra listenin' stations to accomodate everyone...
plus, i've been going to pit for years now, and i've never had a bad experience... and i don't see what the problem is with him giving you records that he thinks you might like? how else are you going to buy other tunes that are wicked but that you don't know about? if you're going there just to pick up one record that you know off, thats different, but remember that majority of people that go there go to pick up the latest stuff and don't leave the store with less than 15-20 records... |

| I dunno buddy, there's just something wrong with that store and those guys... just the attitude I get from those guys creates this funny feeling in me that tells me "Get the hell out of here" as soon as I walk in. But it's just me... |

I was just referring to the set up, compared to PlayDe. I dread digging through the bins at PlayDe, they're way too close together and have too many records shoved in everywhere. |
