PVD Long Kick downs

hi,
im looking for the really soft long downward sounding kicks the PVD and most trance artists use in there tunes, during a break or at the start of a break
you know the "booooooo" sound going down in pitch
i have one but i want more longer sounding ones |

ronski speed uses that in all of his mixes...
search the sample sites in the sticky thread, you will find some of that "kicks"... |

take a sine wave at +- 70 hertz and use an envelope to reduce the pitch to zero over a couple of seconds. Easy Peasy :)
You can easily do this in a sound editing program like Sound Forge or Cool Edit |

Its even easier with any softsynth (i do it with fruitys Osc3x, but any of them works fine).
Just do what attacc said, get a sine wav for more or less 2 seconds, and put on a low note, makin it slide down to another lower note. |

I tried once to get the same effect. I used a standard bass synth, and used a matrix pattern sequencer in Reason. In the pattern sequencer, I did a run down an entire octave, hitting every note, and tying all the notes together. I think I had the pattern sequencer running at the slowest, or second slowest speed. It didn't work for all bass synths, but sounded great with some of them...
I'm gonna try the above suggestion though - it sounds easier. |

Hey, I'm not sure how to explain it easier but it is basicly a sinewave that plays a really low note and that gets lower over time. I uploaded a sample I just made: Sine kick down |
