I like PvD and others very much, but is there a full definition of styles in trance? We've discussed it already for hundred times ... :)

I'm a little bit shocked at the number of people on this thread and even this board who pay so little respect to dark/melodic trance music. Since Orbital's - Halcyon set a standard, a wave of excellent producers such as Nick Warren have crept out of the woodwork to produce what I consider the most profound music of our time.
Often, No pounding 1/4 beats to pump your fist to and wave your glowsticks at and no hackneyed drumroll coined to the point of agony, but intelligent music for the spirit and mind.
That, good fellows, is trance at its finest.

| Very Hard Trance is my fav atm. I used to love uplifting and still do but it doesnt seem to have changed much its becoming a little boring but there are still a few nice tracks out there just have to look a little harder. Hennes & Cold and DJ Scot Proj rule though :D |

I am more of an Epic / Uplifting Trance Fan myself
Love the way it can lift me and take me out of this world oooooooooo thats what trance is all about :)
but i do like a lot of hard house and really getting into the Progressive scene too :)
