First of all, make a demo tape / demo CD. Second, make sure it is good ... I mean GOOD good, 'coz it is going to reflect your skills as a DJ - an average tape will NOT do, just imagine how many DJs are trying to get a break. Then, go around your local clubs with the tape/CD and talk to the owners/mamagers. Give them your tape/CD (make sure your contact info is on them). Offer to play small parties for free, you just might get noticed. Also, posting mixes on the internet can't really hurt. Just flood the world with your music, make sure you spin really good, and try to find a niche, a music style nobody really plays in your area.
