Oh, and about the 50 Cent song-sure it's nothing great. But Americans that complain about it are virgins. period. |
yah that is prolly the main point here.

Come on, 50 cent is like Ja Rule or Nelly. It's not real hip hop, not even rap, it goes beyond those genres. This is pure and extreme party booty music. |
exactly. the reason i like hearing this song *occasionally* is because of the production. i hate 50's voice and lack of enunciation, and the lyrics are the equivalent of ja rule or nelly. "i am #1" ? who can take these guys seriously.
im just praying none of these other TRL rappers decide to try and sing like ja rule. his screeching must be the worst sound in the world... worse than jim carrey in the dumb&dumber van.
as i mentioned in another thread:
http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...&threadid=98330
try some *real* (i know the term is disputed) hiphop...
imo:
Talib Kweli
Mos Def
Nas (sorta)
A Tribe Called Quest (the originals)
Common
The Roots
2Pac
Black Eyed Peas
Gang Starr (misleading name)
Lauryn Hill
Ms Dynamite
and Ludacris for the humor factor
chill with the elitism !! :eyes:

| it's wrong to blindly hate anything. the 50 cent track is good for laughs w. frinds or drunkenly singing along to at a party. i dont think anyone ever claimed it was a musical masterpiece.. it's all over the radio because everything else on the radio (where i live, anyway) suck so badly that it makes 'in tha club' sound good. I personally have to be in the mood for it... but it does have a catchy beat (probably ganked from some older tune). |

| Well the 'tune' is not suprisingly a Dre production, so i wouldnt give 50 cent too much praise for the track... |
