Yes...OSCAR....THE OSCAR...
Our yearly fiscal company all staff meeting was interesting (since I just started with Alliance Atlantis) because we had Michael Donovan (the producer for "Bowling for Combine") there.
The stories behind the scenes at the Oscars and the movie itself were hilarious.
He explained the reasoning for the name of the movie and why they decided to do it.
Definately a lot of irony regarding the kutos this movie has been getting.
ie. They've recieved a big award for scripting.....there was NO scripting! lol...
Michael didn't see one piece of paper.
ie. It was supposed to be a comedy and the fact that they won the Oscar for best documentary (of all time btw) is somewhat of a running joke with those involved.
Definately going to watch this great CANADIAN movie now...

Close....Michael Moore is the U.S. actor/comedian who accepted the award with Michael Donovan the Canadian producer. :) |
