any one know of any trance radio stations in the GTA? there arent many, so I like to find as many as I can and I think many others would like to tune in also. I recently heard 100.7FM play trance from 12 till 5. If you have any more, please feel free to add your favorite trance stations here. please and thanx!!!

105.5 is York's radio station. Who knew they dropped trance? I thought it was only jungle. Nice! You know who spins? (there's a dj who used to have a gig at Calumet) who posted on here once, Stewart, he's good.:)

89.5 used to play trance , but they're not longer operated by 1groove in the evenings .. all u'll get his hiphop, but atleast it's not over commercial hiphop .. i've even heard some sweet battling on the air once..

also check out 88.1 FM , that's Ryerson's station .. but i'm not sure if they have a trance timeslot yet ..

94.1 FM also plays some interesting stuff late at nite ..

100.7 has quite a very different trance radio shows..

The show is called Protocol Radio and features Rick Toxic and DJ Otis and Chris Morelli. Sometimes they have special guests aswell. Used to be a religous listener to it when I worked nights. They usually start out with some jungle (toxic) and then move to some hard pounding trance (otis). But its only on from 12-2AM Sunday Night/Monday Morning.

CHRY Shoutcast (56k)

100.7 at 2-5am I do believe.

As for 89.5. They don't have any trance on their overnights anymore. BUT check the Smirnoff Experience Friday 10pm - midnight for recorded sets from world renowned DJs.As

Archives for all past shows inculding sets from: Uberzone, PVD, Lady Tron, OS/2... etc.

And for the jungle heads check CIUT 89.5 Sunday nights at 8 for Prophecy show featuring DJ Marcus (visonary) and guests. This show is right after my father's radio show which starts at 6. [/end plug]

Aswell at CKLN 88.1 (ryerson radio) Saturday Nights 10pm-12Am for "rinse out" featuring Medicine Muffin.

And of course as mentioned the Global Groove Network 100.7 (12am-5am)is basically the only station where you can find trance/house/jungle on a consistent basis.

do they play MP3s of the live sets? I can't imagine them actually having a decent analogue recording of the shows :conf:

it's all broadcasted live over analog airwaves.. but the quality is alrite in Stereo Surround sound ..

the streaming versions they have are usually in garbage Real Audio .. i always wonder why they don't stream with Shoutcast since it's so much better..

if you really wanna record it, what i've done in the past is use a USB Radio .. it'll record digitally directly into an mp3 at whatever bitrate you specify..
