Melech ... you really need to stop generalizing. From now on, don't say Arab, say Palestinian, Jordanian, Syrian, etc. Be very specific as to who you're talking about. It only hurts your cause to say "arabs are so and so" much like it hurts the cause of anybody who says "jews are so and so". If other people started applying their arguments to "jewish israelis" one could start to get the idea that jewish israelis are bad whereas arab israelies are ok. You did say Arab as opposed to muslim but do you get what I'm trying to say?

At any rate Melech does present a valid argument ... would anybody like to comment on the Palestinian education system or point out how the Israeli education system is just as bed? You can call melech a racist all you want but that still doesn't answer the question.

I must call them Arab-Palestinians, to call them anything else would not do for me.
I could be considered "Palestinian", and feel that simply calling them Palestinians, without the "Arab" attached to it, would be misleading.

This is why i have bee calling them "Arab-Palestinians" - not simply Arabs as you have just claimed:

I feel that there is a huge difference between what is happening with Israelis and the Arab Palestinians. The hatred and violence of the Arab Palestinians against the Israelis is sanctioned by their rulers, by their educational system, by their religious system and their media. This is NOT true of Israel.

It is the responsibility of the Arab Palestinians institutions to teach tolerance, not hate so those young minds are not poisoned with such vicious violence. When this essential step is made, than our children will be sure to grow up and live in peace with their neighbours.

That’s my take on this matter.
Anyone care to voice their opinion, this is after all a place where opinions flow freely; unlike those places ruled by regimes like Iraq or the Palestinian Authority!

Why don't any of you guyz just ignore this thread if you aren't going to contribute to it? Leave your personal argues with Mike to PMs.

On the other hand, seems like non of you have presented opposing claims to his argument...

Then ignore him ... If I would believe there is no risk that someone reading a (IMO) false thread will get convinced of it, I would just not bother adding my points to it (Someone here wisely said that he has given up trying to convince one person, but is trying to convince any reader of the thread).

ya seriously guys... try and keep your arguements focused on the content rather then letting it spill out. And i agree with oDrori - you arent out here to try and convince mike to change, you're just posting your opinions and maybe trying to teach or influence someone elses thought.
i think the palestinian education system vs the israeli one is a worthy topic and goes to explain so of the phenomina that permiates on the ground. it is sad to see Hamas using its moeny and resources in aiding educational schools, even creating schools of its own. i think that in the arab world, in general, a lot is done to stew hate vs jews and the US, some of it may be warranted but i belive it is dramatically over done and should never be spread in educational and religious institutions both of which should focus on tolerance.

Yet you have failed to show me otherwise.
You claim i'm brainwashed to think a certain way, so why dont you show me something better. Some evidence of an education system that is tolerant or a religion that is accepting would make a lot of us think a little different about your people(who by their own will have alienated themselves from the rest of the world).

The sad truth of it is that what you call brainwashed, the majority of the world calls reality.

I love how this Issues are never addressed when they become uncomfortable to discuss.

What kind of debate can be held when one side cant stick up for what it believes in?

When you challenge the pro-isral/pro-america lobbies here you always find them adding to the discussions, and hold a decent conversation in defence of their side. We stand up for what we believe in, and we make our voices heard. On the other hand, when the pro-arab/pro-muslim lobby is challenged here, they seem to always back down, or suddenly become too busy with school and work or some or another.
My favorite reason comes from the person who blames me for being the reason they dont want to post, and answer these questions and concerns.
Do these issues become less relevent just because its me presenting them?

Don't hide, at least try and put up a fight for your "cause".

i don't know about other ppl, but i really can't debate or 'focus' on the main point when i see so much bias.... i mean, ur posts and ur attitude really piss me off. nothing new there...
that's why i'm ignoring it.... that, and also as i've mentioned above, i don't personally know what they teach.... but i do know it's not the best. Again, u depict the Israeli aspect of it to be perfect...

So the fact that the Israeli government supports taking people's land, installing curfews with a hard military watch, limiting access to hospitals, destroying homes and killing people for their desire for basic human rights has nothing to do with the violence that is happening in Isreal. It's kind of sad and ironic how some of the Jewish people have not learned a thing from the Holocaust. Remember, individuals usually don't respond violently unless they are provoked.

So are you saying none of the things I mentioned are true? It's documented, go to Amnesty International.
