Long story short:

I messed up and accidentally started to format my hardrive with my WHOLE MP3 colection (90+ gigs) when I tried to install my copy of Windows. By doing that, the drive now shows up as unformatted or damaged and I don't know how to fix it--if there is a way at all.

So, this is a question to all you high-tech wizes out there that may know a thing or two about such problems. I would be forever in your debt.

Is it the hard drive u use for windows???

Wot you might want to do is put the hard drive as a slave on another comp, and back up anything that u can save.

And then format it and instal windows :D

maybe u could try partition magic

well, if you cancelled the format, there is a 80% chance, that everything is THRASHED. sorry dude. don't EVER do that! you can try partition magic. that would definatly be your best bet. if that doesnt work, you'll have to format the drive and reinstall your OS. sorry bro!

I recommend Easy Recovery Pro. As you can tell by the title, it's actually pretty easy to use, and it's worked wonderfully for me in the past. Hope this helps :)

I have a utility that wil recover it all for u. it is just time consuming. 60 gig drive takes 3 hours to recover. If u want it, PM me. It is DOS based so u need to have a booteable DOS Disk. I can E-mail the util is u want it.
