Frankfurt airport and mayday

i'm going to czech republic and i just realised something ...i have a stop in frankfurt on .....may 1th ...MAYDDDDAY!!!!
but mayday 2003 is in berlin ?
i can't believe i would be there that day but i leave at 8pm...
but is mayday just the rave event or is also a party day in all deutschland ?
and from frankfurt airport, is it far from activities or center town ?

| MayDay is actually in Dortmund as far as I know. And thats much closer to Frankfurt than Berlin :D |

Mayday is in Dortmund, about 380 km from Frankfurt
It's an indoor rave (one night)

i have 6 hours to spend in frankfurt
as a tourist, what would you do..
what can't i miss ??

6 hours in Frankfurt as a tourist. well, it will take you ~30 mins to get downtown and 30 mins to get back. another 30 mins in the airport give u say 4 hrs 30 mins to spend..
I guess downtown is somewhat interesting, old buidlings and stuff. |

no i have 11 hours...already calculated all the airport waiting etc....

what would I do as a tourist in Frankfurt?

Seriously, I live here and don't think there is that much. An area downtown called the "Römer" (drizzt81 was referring to this) is kinda nice, but otherwise?
If this wasn't the day after the Mayday rave drizzt81 (also lives here, at least in May) and I could meet you and give you a tour or something, but we'll be "busy" recovering :D |

provided that i make it back alive..
seeing that i will get pretty much 0 sleep between 2pm on tuesday and 10 am on Thursday, i think i might need to rest a couple of hours before going ANYWHERE after mayday (plus i don't want to have to talk to policemen ;) ) |
