2 x Technics SL1200MK2's and a Pioneer DJM600 unless someone can convince me otherwise?

are those new tech's much better? is djm600 no longer the ?
big dave
the mk2s will be fine and the pioneer should be a good choice as well!

some people prefer the allen & heath range of xone mixers but its personal preferance really :D
JayKuE
ur startin with the gear i started with.

mk2s are fine, honestly don't think u'll find much of a diff between them n mk3s where pitch control is really concerned. not to justify the increase in price nehow. money's better spent on wax.

mixer, PERSONALLY, its ok. i dont really think the sampler is worth the extra dosh, seems like an after thought. but then again, maybe i dunno how to use it. but i think u can do so much more with n fx pad. and oh, do u need really need 4 chans?

yeah could use the 3rd as one of my current decks for acapella's n stuff.. and im planning one day (not soon, ill be broke after this heh) to get a cdj aswell

broke after this? my friend, the worst has yet to come. records are the most costly, its an addiction. so u wont be seeing that cdj for a long while. hehe, i want one too. but um yea, ppl have like over 100 records and are still yet to have any decks. get my drift?

again, PERSONALLY, hehe pio's r jus okay. more than enough for bedroom djing. but u may want to look at other mixers. vestax pcv275, ecler smac-pro40, the allen n heaths. you'll probably get a lot more quality in other mixers, espesh sonically in sound, for the price ur willin to pay for a spankin brand new pio djm600. luv to give u more advice technically, but i'm not really in the position!
sektile
yeah i already own some decks (jus dont feel half as good as techs :(), so ive been collectin vinyl a while and i know.. costs far more then the decks but atleast its over time :P

anyways ill have a look at some of the mixers you mentioned, thx

If you can, try to get the mk3. There is actually no price difference between the mk2 and mk3. You can pick one up for $395 US brand new. I like the fact that the pitch doesn't lock and mine came standard with technics slipmat and headshell which is nice. As for the mixer, I went with the vestax 275 and it works mint! I was thinking about getting djm 600 but found it a little expensive for what it is. The mixer is built solid, but you can find better effects with an external unit. In a few months, I'll probably buy myself the pioneer EFX 500 for my effects.

djm-600 is the , and it will always be the ! I just love it!

Decks: You should be looking only at these two Tech 1200 M3D vs Numark TTX1. By performance numbers Numarks are much better than techs, only question is will they last as long as techs have, and so far, ttx1 being out for a year, no complaints about them just great reviews even from Professional staff at Pioneer. As far as the mixer, forget spending that much money on 5-6 year old technology. Get the newest technology at a better price, ie. if you want all the gadget as I did when I just purchased mine, like effects, samplers, frequency filters etc.. get Tascam X-9, better price and much better quality of sound and features than djm600, if you don't want the gadgets, just looking for a great sounding mixer with filters then you need to consider Rane Empath:

There ain't nothing better out there than Rane Empath for the money if you just want a straight up mixer with frequency filters. I would suggest Allen and Heath Xone 32 or 62 but those are for club scene, 'cause you need a really clean and crisp sounding amps and speakers(not to mentions loudness) to be able to appreciate the fine sound quality allen and heath mixers produce, otherwise no difference. See my friends website www.djmart.com pick out what you want, hit me up on email [email protected] and I'll get you good prices on the items plus tax(where applicable)and my friend does ship internationally if needed.
you should really though go to a local store that has those items on display like Sam Ash or Guitar Center and play with different mixers, and pick the one you'll feel more comfortable. It took me almost three months to decide on Tascam X-9, so it is not a spur of the moment thing.

technology has a knack for abusing its power at times.
i really dun see a need for that unless u desperately need to take a dump while mixing.

acapella's r a neat idea. work well with 80s songs maybe? i'll try it one day.
