Loose pitch slider on my SL1200

Hi all,

One of my pitch sliders is very loose. Quite strange since the table was brand new when I bought it and I don't spin longer than like 7 hours a week. It works fine though, but still, hehe :)
Anyone else has this "problem" Can i place a new fader in and wouldn't this effect the accuracy of my SL?

YO Blighty,

Anyhow, back to subject in hand... How loose is the pitch slider when you say loose?
Cause i have Sl 1200 mk3s and one of them is much looser than the other one. One is very tight, the other very loose (in a sense broken in).
But my question is if its loose to the point to where the thing is going to fall off... or does it just slide up and down much easier than the other deck?
I dont think it should mess with the accuracy, cause the slider is connected to a lever, and as long as that lever moves with the slider, it tells it what speed to hit.
BTW, i noticed that on my turntable that is tight, as opposed to loose, it has a little tiny like "washer" type thing beneath the pitch slider, like an extra layer of rubber (beneath the slider) that is in the exact shape and size of the pitch slider. While the other has the same thing, but it seems to be miss aligned with the slider, so i think thats what is causing it to be looser than the other one.

Peace,
Ricky

Yeah!!

BasicBeats in da house!!! :D hehe

Well, thanx man, i'll check that washer thing out, maybe it's missing here too. It's not like it's falling apart hehe, but its just a bit more loose :) I can live with it.

Speak to you soon!!!
