Dear Artist

At the end of April, HMV864 AM Radio (www.hmv864.com) will be launching the first weekly International dance music mix show in Hong Kong, China.

If you are interested in being a guest on the show and would like to submit a mix, then please read on.

The show will be prerecorded and include an introduction, small introduction messages, a final end comment of the show, the mix and brief intervals for advertisements provided by the owners of the station

The show will be called HKClubbing. It can be heard on AM Radio, in all HMV stores (a total of four, which are the main sources for people to purchase international music) and shortly on the Internet through the radios website. The time slot for the show will be 11pm-12am every Friday evening (Local Time).

Not only will the show host International artists but will also give local Asian artists the opportunity to be heard worldwide.

The requirements of the mix are as follows:

1) Must be 50 minutes long on a CDR in mp3 format (minimum 128- CD quality)
2) Full track listing in a document file (Name of track, artist and record label)
3) Biography and discography of the artist in a document file
4) Website where more information about the artist can be found or venues where they play in a document file
5) Full contact details of the artist, including agent office address, telephone number and email address in a document file
6) No explicit lyrics on any of the tracks
7) The CD should be sent to GPO Box 11444, Central, Hong Kong, SAR China

(Note: We will listen to every CD that we receive and any type of dance music genre can be submitted, only the best International and Local mixes will be chosen. Artists will be notified via email if their mix is chosen)

After each show the track listing will be stored in the archives on the HMV website for people to learn more about the music played.

Please let me know if you are interested and look forward to your reply.

Kindest regards

Yes, this is for real and yes this is a big opportunity for djs around the world. Due to the big response we have already had this will be the only post we will make here, so I recommend you all follow it up now.

The station is the largest for new music in Hong Kong with 1/4 million listeners.

Sure, I am interested. I will follow directions and submit a demo cd. Now, it would have been more convenient to be able to upload document files and demo to a server, but I guess we will have to ship through mail.
gwylorecordscom
Yeah it would, but so far we don't have that capability, will keep it in mind as I am sure it will make poeples life a lot easier.

Will have a go at it... just got a cd mix done last night.. it's approx 54 mins long though so hope it's ok.. it has to be in mp3 not audio cd yea?
gwylorecordscom
mp3 is better, but I can always use audio grabber to take it off the cd.
gwylorecordscom
Just so you all know this has only been posted here and set directly to the big djs so quite an opportunity

how close to 50 minutes must we be?
and is there a deadline, or will this be an ongoing project?
gwylorecordscom
on going project but best do it early, coz its a radio show as close to 50 mins as possible, I will be producing the show myself so I will be cutting it up a bit anyway.
