im currently doing an audio engineering degree though JMC college
got about another 3 months till I get my certificate 4
its helped my producing skills heaps - we learn all about getting the best sound possible through EQ and effects
its taught me heaps - producing wise
they teach you a lot from the basics of sound waves to recording live bands to microphone techniques to electronics to mixing skills (not dj mixing)
if u got the cash to pay for it I highly recommend it
they have pretty good studios aswell - you start off on a 16 track tascam desk with effects - gates, compressors, the lot!
ive just recorded a band on a 24 track mixing desk, although live bands aint really my style im hoping to use this knowledge with electronic music - whos knows I might be Tiesto's next engineer :D |
