I'm in shock ... to be honest with you, I still can't belive the set Judge Jules spun tonight !!!
The clubb had perfect amount of ppl tonight and there were lots of room to dance.
* Meet the man of the night and I have to say, he is really really cool ! I asked him this ... " Yo Jules, what are you gonna spin tonight ? System is dying to hear some trance" ( In his UK acsent) I'm gonna step up to the decks and bust out some crazy stuff" At this point I had no idea what he was gonna spin*
Started with a few mistakes b/c of the cd decks, but that doesn't mean to me ... JUDGE JULES seriously threw down some sick ass, prog, techno, abit of house and some cheese. Then it was over when he got serious ... ALL UPLIFTING EPIC TRANCE UNTIL THE END !!! GOD ING DAMN !!! I haven't heard such uplifting tracks for AGES !!! Through out the set, it was pure heavy basslines and it was poundin' none stop !!! Everytime a TA ask me " why aren't you dancing tonight ?" it's b/c I stopped dancing to the four four beat ... I find it boring. Well you know what ? I was dancing NON ING STOP all night !!! Trust me, those tracks remind me of the 99 yrs and I felt the NRG to kick ass again. SWAMPER and I took over this one area on the dance floor and ppl made room for us !!!

Well that's about it ... KILLA VIBE, KILLA TUNES and KILLA NIGHT !!! I have to admit this one last thing ... when I thought uplifting epic trance was dead, tonight I realized how much I miss those days and also found out ... Judge Jules is the truly the "MESSIAH" of trance !!!
Tonight's event tied for 3rd best night at SYSTEM. (#1 Mauro Picotto debute. #2 Sandra C.)

| heyy oi! yah i was there, plus another TA user "ryanm" we tore it up, we had a good time for sure, read my other thread on jules .. but i'll just say it again.. this was my first time seein jules, and well... ok i've seen/heard better, but the atmosphere was definatly wiked everybody was there to dance and have fun, so that definatly added to it.. besides standing underneath the Air conditioning system was a welcomed relief hehe.. again.. jules is alright he pics some great traxx.. and not so great traxx.. most are ones that your sort of already in the know about but i guess thats what makes it good when your in the mood for hearing that sorta stuff. BUt wow the mixing... heh.. i will just say.. seriously now... mixmiester 4.0! |

| Well for those of you who didn't come out last night, you missed a great night. This was my first time seeing Judge Jules and he didn't dissapoint. Granted his mixing was off, the tracks he dropped were enough to keep ya dancin all night long. A remix of MJ - Billie Jean, Finally - KOT, Nightcrawlers - push the feeling, not to mention the uplifting trance. Definitely a great night. |

| I'm glad a good time was had by all. I really just needed a night off. I was supposed to go, and at least make an appearance, but the thought of stepping out into that weather again.... Forgive me- I had a busy month. |

i'm kinda disappointed i missed this .. but the stoopid weather kinda deferred me.

Since the snow/ice/freezing rain storm had to happen this weekend, my plans for hitting Montreal to check out Kleinenberg fell through, so after a few drinks we spontaneously ended up at System around 2:30am. Didn't expect anything from Jules, didn't really care much, but the atmosphere and the crowd was great, everyone partying it up, half-empty and lots of room to dance and mingle around. Really enjoyed it and stayed til the end.
It was nice talking to you, you know who you are ;) |

I had alot of fun as well. Went down with about 4 mates, and kicked it to Mark Scaife a little bit, and then Jules was good. Lacked energy in the middle of his set, but the start was great, and the later part was phenomenal. I had to leave at about 3:15-3:30 though. Can anyone tell me if he ended up playing Plummet-Damaged? Just wondering because he has been caning it on his show and in Miami. Anything else uplifting near the end that you rememebr him playing?
Any help would be appreciated. Cheers!
All in all, a great night out. Danced my ass off, but there could have been a little more female eye candy though. Met some really nice people tthough!

, looked like I missed out on a good night. I was dying to see Judge Jules - but was stuck in MTL on business.
I hope he comes back with the next 6 months so I can see him live -his Radio 1 shows are awesome, but seeing him live would be great! |
