ok my little review of Sander at Stereo.
He started really slow and dark, a bit annoying to my own taste. He started at 5am i think. But at about 6:30, pace picked up a notch, then it was more enjoyable. Then he dropped a good remix of Fisherspooner - Emerge. At 7:30 he started to drop some house with vocals which sounded a bit cheezy to me. Anyways I was dead tired, couldn't feel my feet anymore.
About Stereo, it was my first time. Its *really* simple but effective. People seems to have fun. Everything or almost is made of plywood hehehe. About the *legendary* sound, well there's nothing legendary about it. It is good, but not thaaaaaat good, too much hype surround it IMO. It wasn't that loud either, and the sound seemed just a tad muffled.. but maybe my ears were muffled after all that vodka ;) Crowd is allright, just stay away from that gay ghetto on the right side of the club hehe if seeing two males all over themselves offends you :nervous: |

Well, if it is F1 weekend that he's playing here, it better not be Friday, because I already have tickets to the Tiesto, Armin and Ornadel event in Aria, and there is no way in hell I am missing that one :whip: :D

Maybe I should add a couple of things about Stereo. I think my review was more on the negative part.
Stereo is a very good club, waaaay above average compared to others in the city.
Pros: good sound system, older crowd, no lightsticks, few candy kids, good vibe, very friendly staff (except that doorman that couldn't read our name right on the paper hehe), good female presence (fridays).
Cons: older crowd, gayish crowd, sound volume a bit on the low side.
I know many TAs are affraid of going there because of the "gay" word tagged on the club since its existence. But really, if your favorite dj is playing at stereo, you should go. Its not *that* gay.
After all I survived, no one raped my hot hairy ass !!! hahaha ;) j/k |
