I don't have many problems with FRTA I've met one of your mods and one of your guys is in our chatroom, and may I say their both cool and nice people. However two other people to me in this forum seem content with provaking me.
ok lads I just want to ask you what is your problem?
I reply to a thread and I have you stanymi calling me ? saying I'm malicious and all that, and calling me Moran what is your ing problem mate? That business about 3 months ago between me and the French TAs is in the past why do you still want to have flame wars with me? because what your saying is doing no good as its provaking me into to saying something of a unsociable back to you all.
Is it the business of that mysterious mail bomber sending you all e-mails? which was supposed to me? but it was actually one of your own who decided to use me as a scapegoat to try and reignite a flame war between us all. Some of you then seemed to blame me and have me as your prime suspect, but it was all cool in the end.
Lychix Irish coffee were you saying that as a joke or in anger?
Either way I was NOT trying to start a flame war between us all, I don't want to argue in every thread I post in but If I'm going to be disrespected and spoken to like all the time I'm going to come back even more angry.
This turns to flame I will delete this thread and I will go back to my old ways, so you've been warned. |

Both of my friends are away for the moment (Lytchix's running for the marathon in Paris ;)), so I'll give you a first answer and I'll let them be more precise when thet'll be back.
The fact is that we are all a little bit fed up with UKTAs coming on our board to make negative comments about things that usually don't concern them, in english using familiar words that all of us don't always understand. The reasons for them posting these comments are not clear, and most of the time we finally take them as provokation. You'll probably agree with the fact that joeh152's post in the forgotten thread "Damn Frenchies" was not done with the best will, and so was his other post in our TA-FR production thread. That probably explains Lytchix and Stan's reactions.
As regards Lytchix, he'll better tell you when he'll be back. As regards Stanymi, you seem not to understand what he meant. His sentence is a french funny and familiar way to say that you seemed not to be in a good mood, that's all really. NOthing provokating in this post, this was just a legitimate answer in this thread, which has been created to make fun of us if you don't remember.
As regards your own case, thanks to the pb with the mailbomber we understood it was possible to have respect for you and to get some respect from you in return. We all thank you for the cool way it ended and the positive reactions you've had. However your answer about 's' is quite ambiguous. All of us absolutely condamn what happened, but you know, there are mad guys everywhere and we have nothing to do with them. So there was really no need to talk about them here. Unless we didn't perfectly understand what you really meant, this was quite an offense for us.
Anyway, if you have the will to live peacefully, and why not even friendly with us (be sure that we have this will), please try not to post such ambiguous comments in the future. And if you want peace between UKTAs and TA-Frs, please help us and explain in your side taht such provokating posts/threads in our forum are not the most intelligent way to make peace. Because we all know for a long time that UK humour and french humour are definitly not the same, and that we can't understans each other's humour most of the time! ;)

I suppose that most of UKTAs are against war and would be angry & affected by my words.
Sometimes I wonder if you, UKTAs, realize the impact of what you say. Your words are not inevitably correctly interpreted by us or other foreigners.
For example, what stanymi said hasn't been correctly traduced by the translator, it was humour and you didn't understand it like that : you think it was flame war whereas it wasn't at all.
So tell yourself it can the same for us and we can badly understand your own words above all if it concerns a problem between our both countries...
I called you "Irish coffee" to see your reaction, I think it's not worst than "French Frog". It's a sweet nickname, don't you think? ;)
You know, I'd prefer that our both communauties be less agressive towards each other.
And I hope you will understand what I wanted to tell you despite my average english.

if u mean the french section on TA then it's not your board.

Of course...
When I said "our" board, I meant the section in french, where comments are supposed to be posted in french, by people mainly coming from the french speaking community of TA.
That doesn't mean other people are not welcome, we'll be happy to have anyone here if he has something intelligent, nice or funny to say, but negative and insulting comments are not appreciated. I'm sure you can understand that, they're not on your section either are they? :)

Well its honourable of you to all reply as I though I wasn't going get a reply. And your English is of an excellent standard.
But thing I don't get your saying what I said is provaking you lot when it ain't, I said people who draw over graves, not the french who draw over graves see I'm talking about a group of unknown people not a nationality.
And about what Stan said fair enough I will let that one go, as them internet translators aren't the most reliable things but saying I'm made out of , and that I'm malicious and most all a moron is taken as an insult where I come from.
But either way this shall not go any further, theres no need for it I got an explanation, and thats what this thread was here for.

Bah ya plus rien dire l'affaire est close. :)
Notre ami irlandais n'avait pas bien compris les réactions à son post ds le thread Damn Frenchies, en particulier Stan qui parlait de "caca", ce qui lui a fait croire qu'on le traitait de merde. Et manifestement nous n'avions pas réellement compris ce qu'il voulait dire non plus ds son post.
Enfin bref c du simple réglage de malentendu en plutôt bons termes, mm si un débile qui écrit en lettres gothiques flamboyantes que je ne citerai pas pr pas l'attirer ici est venu foutre son gros nez de bourrin ici.
