In the past year and a bit, The USA based duo Gabriel & Dresden have been making a name for themselves, especially here on TrancEaddict.

Josh, 33, has been making music with computers since the mid 80's. His signature production style involves sculpting sound into musical textures, taking listeners on a journey. In the dance music world, Josh is known for his debut progressive track, "Wave3," and his Gabriel & Dresden remix collaborations for New Order, DJ Tiesto, Way Out West, Rodger Goode, 4 Strings, Paul Oakenfold and Beber&Tamara.

Dave Dresden is a dance music junkie. For the last 15 years he has committed himself 100% to music. His career spans every corner of the industry working as a DJ, journalist, A&R, radio music director, and remixer.

Dresden now applies his talent and knowledge of the music in the studio, collaborating with various producers on remixes. Currently Dave has been busy remixing tracks with San Francisco producer Josh Gabriel under the name Gabriel&Dresden. To date, the two have remixed tracks for Way Out West, 4 Strings, Dj Tiesto, Rodger Goode, New Order, Beber& Tamara and Paul Oakenfold.

G&D produce under such aliases as Motorcycle(Josh Gabriel, Dave Dresden), Attention Deficit (Dave Dresden,Ryeland Allison), Andain (Josh Gabriel, Mavie Marcos, David Penner), Summit (Dave Dresden, Pete Lorimer).

They were recently featured on Pete Tong's Essential Mix on March 8th, 2003. Many unsigned productions and remixes were played, and individual rips of those tracks were made available on the EMC hub very quickly.

As some of you know, Dave Dresden is a TrancEaddict :toothless. He has made numerous posts on track updates, liveshows and track information...and of couse his Thank You thread to us, the community of TA. As well, Andain singer Mavie Marcos (what a beautiful voice!!!) thanked the TA community and provided lyrics to Andain's upcoming single "Beautiful Things".

Gabriel & Dresden were recently at the Miami WMC 2003 where they played and were broadcasted on Party 93.1fm Miami, as well as did some label shopping for their upcoming production Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes, which has been liscenced to DJ Tiesto for his new mix compilation titled Nyana. (Andain - Beautiful Things (Gabriel & Dresden Remix) is also being featured on that complilation)

In recent months, we've seen remixes of artists such as New Order, Jewel, Way Out West, Tiesto, Duncan Sheik and 4 Strings.

Fore a complete discography, please see this site Gabriel & Dresden Discography

Their unique sound and versitile mixing is why they are quickly becoming major artists in the Trance & Progressive communities. This is why DJ El Kay Dee and I have decided to start this petition thread to show both Temporal Rythmn and Viva Nightclub that Gabriel & Dresden would surely bring in a large, welcoming crowd.

Whether you've heard Gabriel & Dresden and would die to see them spin at Viva or you are intrigued by the above description and would like to experience them for the first time, please vote to bring them here.

S&D wouldn't do well at VIVA. It would be way too packed, and I dunno if they could afford them...

as for G&D; I love them...but as producers, not DJ's.

Why do some people always have to comment on what we can or cannot afford? Money is irrelevant when a DJ wants to play a room.

i wouldnt mind, i agree with itikia why does everyone make a comment when nobody can actually confirm it what they can & cannot do!, i would not know. but it sounds rude and mean to make a comment like that towards something which you would not know about.

I dont really care who you bring, although i would like to see Blank & Jones. Gabriel and Dresdan would be good to hear, never heard them , would like to hear them.

jeez man, it was just a comment, not fact. if you guys would bring them, then hell, more power to you.

I guess I should've said just don't think VIVA is really the club for it from what I've seen. When Orkidea was dropping some more proggy stuff at the beginning, nobody really responded to it so I don't think S&D would get a great response from the VIVA crowd...

...then again, I could be wrong.

i disagree with that .. i don't think that every DJ would charge the same rate regardless of the size of the venue. for example, there are many clubs in the UK that are legendary that don't have a huge capacity, yet they're able to bring in good talent. If a DJ really wants to play somewhere , they'll make it happen ..
